At the centre of the lobby, the sculpture group ‘Menschen im Hotel’ by a master student of the famous Stefan Balkenhol welcomes you.

Meanwhile, a glass artwork on the ceiling symbolises the course of the Elbe, guiding you through the lobby. In the Patisserie Amalie, abstract compositions by a Chilean painter are displayed against embroidered silk wallpapers.

On the double-flight Baroque staircase, originally designed by Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann, you will encounter the large-format diptych ‘The Golden Promise’, created exclusively for this location. Nearby, the wooden sculpture ‘Der kleine Sprayer’ appears to have been caught red-handed causing mischief on one of four life-sized portraits of the Countess. Above, a floral ceiling fresco by a Parisian artist collective completes the ensemble.

In the corridors and elevator landings, chinoiserie-like motifs have been meticulously reproduced on specially textured wallpaper and enhanced with original sketches of historical fragments by a Berlin- based artist and architect.

The rooms and suites are presented in three distinct design variations, each featuring additional commissioned works—from digital reconstructions of Baroque engravings to vibrant, harmonious art- works exploring balance and contrast. In particular, the Queen, King and Signature Suites showcase unique artistic touches, including photography, painting and sculpture.
