"The Orangery"

Potsdam is always good for  a trip, and if you do not know the Orangerie Castle yet, we recommend a guided tour with Mrs. Newiger.
According to the specifications Friedrich IV not only created as pure storage for botanical treasures, but also as guest apartments for royal visit. Especially as a painting gallery  for works by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, known to us under the name Raffael. The Renaissance epoch was at that time en vogue.
The fantastic interior is original, finest tapestries, window decorations and furniture, porcelain and malachite decorations.

Enchanting also from Statuario Venato marble engraved representations of faunas.
The heart of the complex is surely the beautiful and very imposing painting gallery with black/ white marble floor in checker-board pattern laid and precious fabric covering the walls with jacquard pattern in purple.
Very lively and exhilarating, Mrs. Newiger not only tells us about the degree of affinity to Russia, but also, by the way, describes a vivid time journey from salon to salon.

Do you know this when you leave a guided tour quite happy?
